A COMMUNITY IN MOTION
Fabrica Femina is a space of presence.
An artistic community that unfolds explorations and imaginations through cities, residencies and encounters.
Conceived by Cleo T. (artist and composer) and developed in La Madeleine, it brings together artists, authors, musicians, researchers and professionals around a common vision:
Creation is a living process, a space for dialogue, circulation and transformation.
ANNUAL GATHERINGS
Every autumn, La Madeleine hosts a temporary artistic gathering bringing together international artists around a research theme.
Three days of residencies, conversations, performances, workshops and collective experiences in an environment conducive to listening, creation and encounter.
RESIDENCY
Fabrica Femina envisions co-creation residencies in France and Europe, designed by Cléo T. in dialogue with her cultural partners.
Musicians, poets and artists from different aesthetics, territories and generations meet there.
No output is expected other than the process of research and shared presence.
TRAVELLING EVENTS
Each season, Fabrica Femina unfolds across Europe.
In dialogue with festivals, institutions, cultural venues and international networks, we imagine salons, workshops, performances, conversations and collective creations adapted to each territory.
Each meeting becomes a space for transmission, research and new collaborations.
In recent years, Fabrica Femina has developed projects alongside Keychange, Equaly Italia, French Institutes, as well as numerous artistic partners in France and Europe.

EPHEMERAL AND SITE-SPECIFIC
ARTISTIC PLATFORM
International Residences
Time for research and collective creation.
Workshops
Collaborative practices and transmission
Conversations
Artists, researchers and professionals in dialogue.
Collective Listening Sessions
Spaces for listening and sharing creative processes.
Sound Rituals
Ephemeral performances blending music, poetry and improvisation.

IMAGINING A PROJECT TOGETHER
Fabrica Femina develops specific cooperation programs, always designed according to the context and the host territory.
We produce collaborative initiatives with festivals (Les Femmes s'en mêlent, Tallinn Music Week), contemporary music venues (la Sirène 17, la Nef 16) and institutions (French Consulate in Seville, French Institute in Hungary, Romania, Germany).
Each project is created with artists from the host territory, with its languages and around its heritage - poetic, cultural, geographical or literary.
Each event is conceived as a unique project and can be deployed with one or more activities of the scheme: collective performance, residency, workshop, public meeting.
Some recent themes of exploration:
-
The sea, a space of memory (as part of the Mediterranean cultural season)
-
The border river and the eternal return (Around the Danube, French Institute of Hungary & Romania)
-
Women and Freedom (as part of the bicentenary of Carmen, French Consulate in Seville)
-
Around the forests & the forest sisters (Arvo Pärt Center tour at Fotografiska, Estonia)
Contact us to build a unique creative opportunity together.
